Haemoband Surgical is proud to announce that we have joined the Responsible Plastic Management (RPM) Program as an official “Supporter”.
Our devices are critical in eliminating patient cross-contamination and minimizing the need for repeat sterilization of devices, which requires high energy consumption. We recognize the importance of responsible plastic management, and with the assistance of the RPM Program, we are gaining insights and knowledge on how to make improvements to our production process and products.
As a company that supplies medical devices to international markets, we understand the need for sustainable practices. Our support for the RPM Program aligns with our existing quality management system commitments, as demonstrated by our ISO 13485 accreditation for medical device companies.
Michael McMullan, General Manager of Haemoband Surgical, expressed his excitement about joining the RPM Program, saying: “Through the RPM Program, we can communicate our company’s commitment to responsible plastic management, and we see it as a mechanism to remain plastic-conscious and to keep us informed of the viability of improvement ideas.”
Aaron Marshall, RPM Program Director, welcomed Haemoband Surgical as an RPM Supporter, and commented: “When plastic serves an essential purpose and is managed responsibly, it should be welcomed. Kudos to Haemoband Surgical for stepping up and getting involved in the responsible plastic movement. Our team can assist them on their responsible plastic management journey.”
We are honoured to join the RPM Program and look forward to continuing our efforts towards responsible plastic management.
