Haemoband Surgical is a Northern Ireland–based medical device company dedicated to improving patient care and simplifying clinician workflows. Founded in 2005 by Consultant Surgeon and Inventor, Essam Ghareeb, the company introduced the Haemoband-PLUS — the world’s first multi-action, pre-loaded disposable ligator for the treatment of haemorrhoids.
From those beginnings, we’ve grown into a globally recognised manufacturer with a loyal customer and distributor network spanning markets worldwide, including in Europe, North & South America, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
All our devices are designed, developed, and manufactured in Northern Ireland, combining clinical insight with engineering precision.
Today, Haemoband Surgical continues to build on its legacy of innovation — with four international patents and several new products in advanced stages of research and development.
